The DUAL MOTORIZED FILTER SELECTOR Model FS-2 consists of a filter holder, capable of holding two 1" diameter filters, mounted on a motor with a limited rotation angle and driven by the DFS Driver. The standard system is supplied with one filter holder and a fixture to assist in mounting the two 1" diameter filters, which are attached to the filter holder by means of epoxy or other adhesives. Additional filter holders are available upon request. The system enables the user to select one of two filters (filter "A" or filter "B" as seen below.

The DFS Driver has two modes of operation, an internal mode and an external mode. In the internal mode of operation, the filters are alternating at a 50% duty cycle and at an adjustable frequency of 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz. A monitor TTL output is available. "HI" output indicates that filter "A" is selected and "LO" indicates that filter "B" is selected. In the external mode of operation, a TTL input signal controls the filter selection. "HI" output indicates that filter "A" is selected and "LO" indicates that filter "B" is selected. The transition time from filter to filter is 40mSec. The maximum input frequency is 10 Hz.
